Snoop Dogg overcomes fear of horses with Martha Stewart at Olympics dressage
Snoop Dogg’s run as a crowd favorite continues.
The all-time great hip-hop artist has been an Olympic staple during the 2024 Summer Games in Paris, France, and was at the center of yet another moment over the weekend.
The Long Beach, California native attended the dressage competition in costume alongside long time friend Martha Stewart despite living in fear of horses, by his own admission.
Snoop is working for NBC, helping to cover the Olympics as he did for Tokyo 2021.
“I am interested in the horses that dance and I want to give them some carrots and apples … make sure they’re fed before they do their thang,” Snoop had said earlier in the week.
Stewart discussed the dressage idea for both her and Snoop.
“Snoop called me and said he knows I know horses, and he’s a little fearful of horses,” she said to NBC on Friday when asked.
Snoop added that, while agreeing to do this, he remained fearful.

“I’m still scared of horses,” Snoop said.
“Have you ever ridden a horse?” Stewart asked.
“No,” Snoop insisted. “I’m scared.”
“So we’re gonna do dressage,” Stewart said.
And that’s how it went.
Stewart, of course, is well aware of Snoop’s concerns, but is determined to not allow that to become an issue.
“I have to keep him away from the horses,” Stewart said. “No feeding, no sugar, nothing. But we’re gonna have so much fun.”
