Snoop Dogg rumored to be making $500K a day at Paris Olympics

Snoop Dogg is reportedly cashing in at the Paris Olympics.

The Grammy-nominated rapper is said to be earning $500,000 per day as a special correspondent for NBC and Peacock at the Games.

“Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics,” X user @henrylmcnamara, a partner at the venture capital firm Great Oaks and a Forbes 30-Under-30 lister, according to LinkedIn, reported earlier this week.

“From [his song] ‘Gin and Juice’ to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics – what a world.”

Sports business reporter Darren Rovell had a similar thought.

“Sounds about right,” Rovell said in an X reply to McNamara. “Someone asked me how much Snoop was making.

“First number that came to mind was $10 million.”

The Olympics features 16 days of competition, which would make for an $8 million payday. That doesn’t factor in additional days spent in Paris for pre- or post-production work, or expenses.

Snoop — real name Calvin Broadus Jr. — has yet to directly address the rumor.

Taking to his Instagram Story on Monday, the hip-hop legend reposted a video of Savannah McConneaughey, a 5-year-old rap sensation.

“Thank you for giving me $500,000, but today’s going to be a great day,” she said before singing along to Snoop’s music.

Snoop has been everywhere throughout the Paris Olympics, which run through Aug. 11.

On Monday, he performed during “A Celebration of Olympic Basketball” presented by NBC Universal and the NBA at Team USA House in Paris.

He served as a torchbearer and carried the Olympic flame through the streets of Saint-Denis, a suburb north of Paris, for the torch relay during the opening ceremony on July 26.

Snoop then served as a color commendatory for the USA vs. China badminton match on July 28.

He was seen dancing with Team USA gymnasts Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles — and he swam with Michael Phelps for a promotional skit.

The 52-year-old music mogul also spent time filming for NBC with his good friend Martha Stewart this week.

The pair paid a visit to the iconic Château de Versailles, where the Olympic equestrian competition is being held, and fed horses and watched the dressage.

Snoop has been open about his passion for the Games and how he spent a lot of time preparing for his correspondent role with NBC.
