Allen Robinson and Gunner Olszewski — two veterans fighting for jobs at the back end of a young receiver corps — came to life during the joint practices.
Tuesday, Robinson caught a floater in the back of the end zone, and Olszewski had a catch-and-run slant for a touchdown, after which he started shouting at a “gray-hair” coach on the Lions sideline. QB Drew Lock made both throws.

Garbage dump-off
QB Daniel Jones was “sacked” twice — maybe three times — during the first two 11-on-11 periods. On one, Jones tried to dump the ball to Devin Singletary, and it was batted in the air and should’ve been intercepted by the Lions defensive line.
As good as the Giants look at offensive tackle right now, the interior line remains messy.
Caught my eye
The versatile Nick McCloud stole some starting outside cornerback reps from Cor’Dale Flott for the first time in camp after Flott was involved in two blown coverages Monday. McCloud plays on the first- and second-string defense at outside cornerback, nickelback, safety and moneybacker.
Flott vs. McCloud is a position battle to watch.
