Yankees vs. Angels prediction: Run support should be plentiful Wednesday
After taking two of three from the Mets, the Angels enter their series against the Yankees on a high, but they are in for a rude awakening with a tough matchup against Luis Gil on Wednesday.
Gil has been churning out solid efforts since the calendar turned to July, and making matters worse, the Angels have just one hit against him in 23 at-bats.
Gil has been excellent in the second half of the MLB season.
He wasn’t flawless against the Phillies in his last start, but his overall numbers in the last month are solid (30 Ks, 2.35 ERA, 1.00 WHIP in 23 innings).
Offensively, the Yankees should keep it rolling.
The Yankees’ offense has been clicking of late. JASON SZENES FOR THE NEW YORK POST
The Yankees should provide plenty of run support for Gil, who should carve up the Angels.
