Chiefs heiress Ava Hunt required surgery on her leg after she took a scary fall down a mountain while hiking recently.
The 19-year-old Hunt, whose father is Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, suffered a deep wound to her leg and is currently recovering at home in Kansas City, according to her mother, Tavia Hunt.
“This little thang fell down the mountain today on a hike [and] went to the ER for surgery on a deep wound,” Tavia wrote on her Instagram Story Tuesday, including a photo of the pair smiling.
Hunt reposted her mother’s message and shared a separate image of her bandaged leg to her Instagram Story.
“Update: surgery went very smoothly and I’m back at home watching my favorite @simonebiles!! I’m feeling great (but I might still be a little drugged up)” Hunt wrote. “Thank you for all of your sweet messages and prayers.”
The incident came two months after Hunt committed to the Southern Methodist University cheer team after she graduated from Covenant School, a private Christian high school in Dallas.
SMU Spirit begins its fall clinics for cheer and pom on Sept. 29.
Hunt’s surgery came after she and her sister, Gracie Hunt — a former pageant queen who works for the Chiefs — attended a Morgan Wallen concert at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Chiefs, on Aug. 3.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce were there as well, and walked out with the country singer at the beginning of the show.
Aaron Brown of Winchester, Illinois, was charged with a felony after he allegedly threatened on social media to shoot the Super Bowl champions at the concert, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said in a press release issued on Saturday.
Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, who is pregnant with the couple’s third child, was at the concert, according to her Instagram.
Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who is currently on her Eras Tour, was not there.
Brown is facing a possible Class E felony of Making a Terrorist Threat in the 2nd Degree if convicted.
