Brad Pitt is “extremely concerned” about his estranged son Pax Jolie following his scary e-bike accident that landed him in the ICU, according to a new report.
Despite being iced out by Pax, Pitt, 60, is getting “a steady flow of information” about the 20-year-old’s recovery from “concerned people around the family,” per TMZ.
The outlet’s sources say Pitt was “shocked and emotional after learning about the incident.” They also say that the Oscar-winning actor is “alarmed” because Pax rarely wears a helmet when riding a bike or a motorcycle. Pitt, a motorcycle enthusiast himself, always wears a helmet when he is photographed on his bike.
Pax has allegedly been in multiple accidents, including car accidents, in recent months, according to TMZ.
Pitt continues to believe that his ex Angelina Jolie, 49, has turned their children against him. The famous couple have been embroiled in a bitter 8-year divorce that has played out in public.
Pax’s terrifying crash occurred in LA on July 29, when he rammed his e-bike into a car at a red light on Los Feliz Boulevard at 5 p.m. He was not wearing a helmet.
Eyewitnesses reportedly thought he died.
One person who called 911 after the accident described the horrific scene.
“I didn’t see any broken bones. I did not see, like, profound bleeding, so to speak,” Lola Cavalli told Entertainment Tonight.
“And since I was directed to apply pressure at the site where it was bleeding, I did not see where I could apply the pressure, because it was on the head. He was hit on the head — I had no idea where you would put the pressure to stop the bleeding on the head.”
“It was not a lot of blood,” she added. “His mouth was filled with blood. When [he] was trying to speak, I saw a little tiny stream of blood coming out of the mouth.”
Pax’s injuries were summed up as “complex trauma,” having suffered a major head injury, a minor brain bleed and a hip injury. He was rushed to a local hospital after paramedics arrived on the scene. He was then admitted to the ICU, where he stayed for a week. Jolie reportedly rushed to her son’s side after the accident.
Pax has been recovering after being released from the hospital.
Pitt is said to be “grateful” that individuals close to the family are sharing updates about Pax’s recovery with him, given that he does not have any contact with either Pax or Jolie.
Pitt and Jolie share five other children: Maddox, 23, Zahara, 19, and Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
Jolie adopted Pax when he was three years old in 2007. The following year, Pitt also formally adopted the child.
Pax’s sibling all visited and helped him after his accident.
