Catwoman is on the ranch.
Michelle Pfeiffer will officially star in the next spinoff in the âYellowstoneâ world, helmed by creator Taylor Sheridan.
Called âMadison,â the show will star Pfeiffer, 66, who will also exec produce.
The showâs previous working title was â2024.â The story will follow a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.
According to Paramount, the show is “a heartfelt study of grief and human connection.â
âMichelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity and grace. She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the âYellowstoneâ universe, âMadison,â from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan,â Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global co-CEO and the president and CEO of Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios, said in a statement on Thursday.
“Suits” star Patrick J. Adams and Kurt Russell are also rumored to be in talks to co-star, but no official deals have been announced with them.
âYellowstoneâ follows wealthy rancher John Dutton (Kevin Costner), and his adult children, including Kayce (Luke Grimes), Jamie (Wes Bentley), Beth (Kelly Reilly) and his son-in-law, Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser).
Previously, it was reported that McConaughey would likely star in the sequel series, but a deal was never officially announced. McConaughey’s future in the “Yellowstone” world is unclear. The Post reached out to his rep for comment.
There was also a chance that âYellowstoneâ stars Reilly, Hauser and Grimes would reprise their roles and join him in that series, although that was never officially confirmed, either.
âYellowstoneâ has numerous other spinoff shows, including â1883â starring Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Sam Elliott, and â1923â starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford.
Sheridan has gotten into several public rumored feuds with his stars. Kevin Costner left âYellowstoneâ under a cloud of rumors and accusations that he didnât prioritize the series over his film work, which he denied.
âI have taken a beating from those fâking guys, and I know a lot of times where itâs coming from,â Costner said in May, referring to the âYellowstoneâ producers and Sheridan.
Sheridan told the Hollywood Reporter in June 2023 about his feud with Costner, âHe and the network were arguing about when he could be done with âYellowstone.â I said, âWe can certainly work a schedule toward [his preferred exit date],â which we did.â
Sheridan added, âOnce lawyers get involved, then people donât get to talk to each other and start saying things that arenât true and attempt to shift blame based on how the press or public seem to be reacting.â
In June, Costner officially confirmed he wonât be returning to the show, instead shifting his focus on making his Western movie âHorizon: An American Saga.â The first out of four films received dismal reviews and its sequel is headed to the Venice Film Festival for its world premiere.
âIt was a necessary decision to say, âHey, OK, I donât want to really talk about this anymore. Itâs time to move on,ââ Costner told The Hollywood Reporter at the time, referring to âYellowstone.â
The “Dances With Wolves” star also addressed his fans in an Instagram video about it.
âI just want to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on Horizon and doing all the things that thatâs required,â Costner said at the time.
âThinking about Yellowstone, that beloved series that I love, that I know you love. I just realized that Iâm not going to be able to continue, season five or into the future.â
He added, âI loved it and I know you loved it. I just wanted to let you know that I wonât be returning. I love the relationships that Iâve been able to develop. And Iâll see you at the movies.â
Sheridanâs ranch also sued âYellowstoneâ star Hauserâs coffee brand.
The Post reached out to reps for âYellowstoneâ for comment.
The new show does not yet have an announced premiere date, but itâs expected in 2025.
The second half of the fifth and final season of âYellowstoneâ premieres Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. on Paramount Network.
