Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills have a lot of reshuffling to do ahead of Week 1 of the NFL season, but the loss of former receiver Stefon Diggs doesn’t seem to be a major concern.
While talking to reporters at training camp Wednesday, Allen was asked whether he missed the new Texans receiver at any point during this summer.
“Stef is a great player, and what he brought to this team was special,” Allen said. “Miss, is –– I don’t know if I’d say miss.”

Allen went on to compliment his teammate for the past four seasons.
“He was a guy that was reliable you could look to; he’s going to have the juice each and every day. I’m sure he’s bringing it over there in Houston,” Allen said. “So, definitely, you can’t say that you don’t miss that, but I am very happy with what we’ve got going on here and how hard the guys have been working.”
Allen and Diggs appeared to have had some dicey moments together in the last year, including when the Bills’ signal-caller yelled at him after their Week 1 overtime loss to the Jets at MetLife Stadium.
“It’s one f–king game,” Allen allegedly was heard saying to Diggs.
Diggs also unleashed on Allen during the 2023 home playoff loss to the Bengals.
After a disappointing 2024 playoff exit amid a salary cap crunch, Diggs was traded to the Texans for a 2025 second-round pick.
When he arrived in Houston, Diggs told reporters that “Josh was and still is my guy.”
Diggs restructured his contract this offseason to allow himself to enter free agency after this coming season.
A big year for Diggs could prepare him for a big payday in free agency.
