Lance Twiggs, the transgender roommate and romantic partner of alleged assassin Tyler Robinson, is no longer under FBI protection. Twiggs, who faces no charges, provided crucial evidence, including texts where Robinson confessed to killing Charlie Kirk and a handwritten note planning the assassination.
Initially, Twiggs and his family received FBI protection due to threats following Kirk’s September murder. However, the FBI ended the detail, stating the cooperation phase is complete, Robinson is in custody, and no ongoing credible threats warrant federal protection, citing resource constraints. Twiggs, 22, reportedly struggled with addiction and gender identity before living with Robinson. Robinson allegedly killed Kirk at a Utah event, claiming he “had enough of his hatred.”
